Homecoming Queen's Court and King's Court are comprised of eligible seniors. Nominations for Court are September 5th-7th. Nominations will be made through a Google Form. Students will vote during Advisory Class on September 13th. *The Homecoming Queen is not eligible to be the Queen of Hearts in February.
Homecoming week is a competition for points between the grades! Ways to earn points: Dressing up for spirit days Attendance or Participation in the Powder Puff Game on Wednesday, 10/11 Attendance or Participation in CAP Factor on Wednesday, 10/4 Attendance at the Home Athletic Events during the week Food Drive Donations Float-attendance and physical appearance of the float Pep Rally Activities |

Food Drive

Earn community service and points for your grade by bringing nonperishable food items to your Advisory Class during Homecoming week, October 10-13!
Drop off cans in your Advisory Class before school or during Advisory Class! Every 5 cans earn you 1 hour of community service. (Maximum of 5 hours) Don't want to lug those heavy cans around? Good news! You can also make a monetary donation to the food drive. Cash donations actually equate to more meals provided than the cans! Make your online donation to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina (https://foodbankcenc.org/). Be sure to click Make my gift on behalf of an organization and then note Broughton High School and your grade level (Class of ) in the provided space. Every $5 earns 1 hour of community service. (Maximum of 5 hours) |

Dress up for the theme of each day during Homecoming week and earn your grade points! The best outfits will be featured in the yearbook and on the Broughton Student Social Media!
Then, show out in your Homecoming shirt and best purple and gold attire for the football game! Who: Girls at each grade level playing football
Guys from the BHS Football Team coaching BHS Teachers playing the Senior Girls Senior Guys Dance Team and Cheerleaders When: Wednesday, October 11th at 6pm Where: BHS Football Field @ the Jack Spain Stadium How Much: Only $5 per ticket. Get your friends and family to come cheer you on! All proceeds will be donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC and the Foundation of Hope. Why: First, to have fun!! Second, all money taken at the gate will be donated to charity. 1/2 to our Food Drive benefiting the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC and 1/2 to Walk for Hope benefiting the Foundation of Hope for Mental Health Research. |

Get hype for the Homecoming football game by coming to watch the Homecoming parade! Route TBA. Bring friends and watch the football team, cheerleaders, clubs, Homecoming Courts, and those who helped build the floats participate in the parade. When: Friday, October 13th right after school Where: Woodburn to Smallwood to Cameron Street leading towards the Jack Spain Stadium. |

Come support the CAPS as they take on Athens Drive!
Come dressed in your best Purple and Gold. At half time, the Homecoming King's and Queen's Courts will be presented and the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned. The winning class of Homecoming will be announced at the end of the game. Pre-sales for Homecoming Shirts are 10/4-10/6 in the Cafeteria during both lunches!
Homecoming T-Shirts will be sold in the Cafeteria during both lunches Tuesday- Friday during Homecoming Week! You can also come by Mrs. Pattisall-Williams' room, 2402, after school. This year's shirt is a short-sleeved tee with a BHS 101.5 design featuring all four class music genres. Price: $15 cash Sunday, 10/8 -- Information for online registration is on our Walk for Hope page. Our CAPS for Hope team has been deemed "full" by the Foundation of Hope!! If you still wish to register, please join "Mr. Wright's Super Team." That team is organized by the BHS Wrestling Team in honor of a former member. Pick up your t-shirt and wristband on-site at the Angus Barn the morning of the walk. Walk for Hope is a great way to socialize with your BHS friends, earn community service hours, learn about different mental health resources, and raise money for mental health research and treatment at UNC Chapel Hill. |
