Looking for ways to get involved at Broughton?
Some students think the only way to be involved is to be a member of the Student Government. Not true! While Executive Cabinet and Class Councils are one way to be involved, Broughton has a plethora of opportunities for you. Get out there and explore!
Clubs
Clubs are the easiest way to get involved at Broughton. There are typically 40+ clubs on campus each year and most of them are student-initiated. The Annual Club Fair will be held 9/13/24 during both lunches so students can check out what's being offered this year. You can also check out our Club page for further information including a list of clubs (2023-24). The deadline for starting a new club is 9/19/24, so the 2024-2025 club information will be posted the first week of October 2023.
Sports
Whether you play a sport or just enjoy attending the events, sports are a great way to be involved at BHS. Check out the Athletics website and social media accounts for information about teams and tryouts. Or, come join the student section at home athletic events. Be sure to purchase your CAPS Pass for all home athletic events and be a part of the CAPS Crazies Crew!!
Arts
Just like sports, some students will be in the musical or singing in the chorus or playing in the band or dancing on the stage. Other students will be in the audience cheering on their classmates and enjoying the performances. And everyone is welcome at the Dance-A-Thons and Arts Festival!
Dances and Events
Be sure to join us at the Sadie Hawkins Dance in December, Queen of Hearts in February, and Prom in April (juniors and seniors). Help your class plan and decorate your class-sponsored dance. Join us for the Walk for Hope in October and the Walk for Water in May. Come out to Powder Puff and CAP Factor during Homecoming Week. Participate in and/or purchase Song-A-Grams in February. Create a Volley Bros team (guys) or come watch the tournament in March. Don't forget to come to the International Festival for good food and entertainment. There are so many events!
Community Service
Community Service is an important aspect of the Broughton community and a graduation requirement. Listen in Advisory and to the announcements for a variety of opportunities to help your community. Some of our clubs are community service focused like SAFE and Food Ark. Find a cause you are interested in and get involved!
